What happens in your scene? Outline the basic events.
In our scene, everyone learns about Duncan's murder. Macduff comes early to wake him up but he sees that Duncan has been murdered and raises the alarm. He then tells the sons about their father's death. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth put up a good act about being shocked and the Lady even faints to try to convince the others. In the end, Malcolm and Donalbain deem it dangerous and flee to other countries.
What do you think are the key purposes of your scene? In other words, why is this scene important?
The importance of our scene is that the water was spilled and the events develop so that Macbeth and the Lady can't try to go back. The consequences to their actions are playing out and already it seems that people are leaving the kingdom. The scene is important since it marks the beginning of Macbeth and the Lady's rule as well as their change.
What are your reactions to this scene?
This scene made me think that the sons were very wise since I did not expect them to run away but actually take throne. Then I further noticed, with horror, that Lady Macbeth might have planned the whole thing in her mind and made me recoil from the thought. Overall, the scene was nasty and did not contain a single happy character except the Porter who was too drunk to know what was happening.

Scene Reflection
1. Evaluate the performance of your group. What went well? What didn’t go well?
Our performance as a group went fairly well since there were no real collisions between actors. I think there was emotion and good understanding of each character and the scene. If there was a problem it was the uncertainty and bumpy story because of unfamiliar characters due to lack of people.
2. How well did you contribute to your group?
I think I contributed well to the group since I worked hard for the group. I not only knew my character and parts but helped the others in their parts as well. I helped coordinate the stage movements and the emotions that should be used as well. I chose the characters so there were no collisions between talking and contacted Alex when I knew of Brian's absence.
3. How well did you perform as an individual?
I think I performed well but could have done better. Since I had two parts that changed three times in the scene it was hard to focus and missed my timing once only. I think that was my only flaw since I did well on the rest of the parts.
4. What could have improved your scene performance?
Our scene could have improved if we had more people to play characters. Since everyone had at least two characters to play, it was hard for the audience who was talking and what impact had in the overall scene.
5. How did the scene performance help you better understand the play?
Our scene performance helped me understand the play since it showed how Macbeth and Lady Macbeth acted to show their innocence and not be caught by the people of their crime.
